Excess can be fabulous

Why bake just once a day, when you can bake twice? Plus, the stash of leftover cookies in the freezer needed replenishing.

These are Cooking Illustrated's Thick and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I don't know if they're all that thick or really chewy, but they're huge and tasty, and neither crispy nor cakey, so I'm not complaining.

Virginie, I think you missed your calling. I am sure you are a fabulous French teacher, but have you thought about culinary school? I am obsessed with Top Chef and envious of people with cooking talent such as yourself! And on another note, dang those cookies look good.

these cookies look sooo good! The nutritional info for mine came from the cooking light website, but in the past I've figured out the counts by adding up all of the ingredients and dividing by the number of cookies I get. Can't wait to check out the rest of your blog!
